Renata Brenha is the fashion brand of the eponymous London-based Brazilian designer, which is focused on the heritage of Latin American culture to propose new aesthetics and new approaches to the fashion system, with the ultimate goal of returning human value to this field. Renata Brenha not only draws on her personal history linked to Brazilian traditions, but actually researches native peoples’ craft techniques and values, with particular attention to the Quilombolas female community, descended from African people reduced to slavery and deported to Brazil. Brenha’s studio translates – in her garments - into soft and fluffy silhouettes, rich in pleated and ruched fabrics, dyed in very vast color palette and embellished by recurring floral patterns.
