Yohji Yamamoto. Letter to the Future is the publication that accompanies the related exhibition presented by 10 Corso Como with Yohji Yamamoto, marking the designer's return to Italy after two decades. The exhibition, open to the public from May 16 to July 30, 2024, is set up at the renovated 10 Corso Como Gallery. Edited by Alessio de'Navasques, the volume - in English - documents the exhibition project with a rich iconographic apparatus. The curator's text traces the directions of the path that, through twenty-five dresses from different periods and collections - as ideal chapters of a missive addressed to the future - defines Yamamoto's ambivalent and poetic relationship with time. In her contribution, Linda Loppa - former Director of the MoMu Museum in Antwerp and curator of one of the most significant exhibitions dedicated to Yamamoto, Dream Shop (2006) - evokes the exceptionalism of the designer, in a personal narrative. Gilda & Bodha's photo project offers a special view of the exhibition in relation to the industrial matrix of the space and in an architectural interpretation of the volumes and details of the clothes.Completing the volume are installation views by DSL Studio and a complete registry of the dresses in theexhibition.
