The new store Concept to be unveiled in September

10 Corso Como announces a new phase of the Rethinking 10 Corso Como project: in September, the iconic Milanese destination will unveil its innovative concept behind the new store project, conceived by multidisciplinary agency 2050+, according to the vision of Tiziana Fausti.

The new chapter of 10 Corso Como thus continues, driven by an architectural project aimed at redesigning the spaces as a contemporary Wunderkammer. Following the new concept, the woman’s sales area on the ground floor is conceived as a flexible theatrical machine, coherent in its intentions and architectural solutions with the spaces on the first floor, the Project Room and the Gallery, inaugurated last February.

The store is rethought as an industrial mechanism capable of fluidly transforming by reshaping its identity. It also adapts organically to the variety of experiences and events it can host.

The space is inhabited by mobile and modular set-up devices: a new version of the pantograph tables and a series of clothes racks connected to winches, which can move vertically and horizontally in the space until they disappear completely between the ceiling beams. These elements, as dynamic and light theater units, allow for infinite configurations, offering a wide spectrum of curatorial possibilities. Of particular note are the site-specific works by international artists that like a harmonious chorus of interventions dialogue in the space of the new 10·Corso·Como designed as a platform for exchanging ideas.

The project also rethinks the circulation flows, turning connecting spaces into the main elements of its architectural narrative, while also enabling the osmotic movement of visitors through its diverse programs. The new internal staircase, entirely clad in steel, acts as a backdrop for the entire system and connects the new women’s store to the Project Room and the Gallery, both located at the first floor.

With this architectural element, the new project redefines flows both horizontally on each floor and vertically through the building, while contributing to the conception of a vast repertoire of possible uses and occupations.

During the renovation of the ground floor shopping area, scheduled for the month of August, 10·Corso·Como’s fashion selection will be available for sale at the Gallery on the first floor, as well as on 10corsocomo.com.
